Dishwasher installation method

First of all, it is best to read the user manual that came with your dishwasher in order to know how to install the dishwasher and how to connect and join its various parts correctly. As each type of dishwasher differs in its characteristics from the others and you will find in this article: Dishwasher buying guide everything you are looking for about types of washing machines, but these steps are considered comprehensive for all types of dishwasher:

1. Choose the right place

Choosing where to place your dishwasher is the first and most important step in installing a dishwasher. Where the place must be suitable for the washing machine in terms of dimensions first and in terms of the availability of three basic and important things for the dishwasher, which is: The electrical socket, the faucet or the water inlet for the dishwasher, and the drain for the water coming out of the dishwasher, which are things that are usually available in any modern-style kitchen that cannot be devoid of a place designated for the dishwasher, and it is usually next to the sink. In the case of old kitchens that do not have a space designated for the dishwasher, or if the kitchen design does not have the capacity to place the dishwasher, you can install it in any other place near the kitchen such as: the storeroom, the laundry room, or otherwise, provided that all three conditions mentioned above to be available in the place. Precisely for this reason, it is preferable to install the dishwasher in the kitchen, especially near the sink.

2. Connect the water inlet and drain outlet

First, turn off the water from the extensions that are at the bottom of the sink, look for the water supply assembly box in one of the rooms of the house or the corridors, and you can notice that it contains pipes to distribute water in the house, then close the main valve of the extensions. Second, determine the place where you will install the connection and its shape, whether in the form of the letter T or Y, then take a branch from the pipe that feeds the main faucet in the kitchen and make sure that it is from the cold line and not from the hot line, then remove and install the pipe. Next, wind the Teflon tape over the serrations on all connections and parts, to ensure leakage prevention. After the tap is installed on the installed manifold, it will later become the water inlet for the dishwasher. But if you want to install a double valve instead of the triple joint with the water faucet, remove the old valve and install it directly in the wall. On the other hand, we will need a drain for the water coming out of the dishwasher, which you can connect to the sink drain. You can use a triple joint (Y) or (T).

3. Installing the dishwasher and connecting it to the electricity

Next, place the dishwasher in the location you have chosen and make sure to place it properly according to the instructions. If you have decided to put the dishwasher in the kitchen, look for an electrical socket near the sink, and you will usually find it under the sink. If you put it in the laundry room, it will be directly on the wall, and then plug the dishwasher's power cord into the socket.

4. Run the dishwasher

After making sure that you have installed all the parts securely, first open the main water valve that you closed earlier, and then turn on the dishwasher from the main operation button to make sure that it is working properly.
